The Davis R-12 School District will begin the process of searching for a new Superintendent of Schools following the planned departure of current Superintendent Mitch Towne at the end of June 2027.

Mr. Towne will continue serving the district through June 30, 2027, providing leadership and support to ensure a smooth transition.

The Board of Education will begin the process of identifying the district's next superintendent and will work with the Missouri Association of Rural Educators, MARE, during the search. The goal is to identify an educational leader who shares the district's commitment to student achievement, staff support, and the continued success of Davis R-12.
