Davis R-12 School District

The Davis R-12 Board of Education is pleased to announce that Mr. Mitch Towne has been selected as the new superintendent for the Davis R-12 School District for the 2025/2026 school year. Mr. Towne retired as the Superintendent of the Lakeland R-III School District after 30 years in public education, 13 years as a superintendent. In addition he has served as a teacher and principal at Lakeland, and Director of the Clinton Technical School. When asked about his new role, Mr. Towne shared: "I am very honored to be joining the Davis R-12 School District. I look forward to building positive relationships with our staff, students, and community."
